In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
